Nick Schneider Claims the 2026 Madison Title
Nick Schneider arrived at Fink's Paving Championship Night at Madison International Speedway on August 14 with a 37-point lead in the Dave's White Rock MISfitz standings.
Due to rain delays, qualifying and the second feature were canceled, so the championship was decided in a single 20-lap race.

Schneider started the race in seventh position and managed to move into the top five.
His cousin, Waylon Robinson, and his brother-in-law, Kenny Storkson, also made significant progress.
Robinson took the lead on Lap 6, and Storkson moved into second place two laps later.
As Schneider battled for third place with the No. 42A of Kevin Anderson, Anderson drove over the nose of Schneider’s No. 26S on the frontstretch.
Contact between the No. 42 and No. 26 on the frontstretch caused extensive damage to Schneider’s car.
The contact caused extensive damage to Schneider’s car, brought out the caution, and forced him to the pits.
Those who witnessed the incident believed the contact was intentional; however, no official determination has confirmed intent.
Madison’s official report described the incident only as Anderson and Schneider “getting together.”
"I managed to finish the last four laps with no shock or spring, no sway bar, no steering, almost no brakes, dragging the front stub and jack post, with the RR tire going down," Schneider shared afterward.
Schneider struggled to keep track of the points while driving, so he focused on gaining every position possible.
He made a final pass out of Turn 4, completed all 20 laps, and finished in eighth place.
When the points were tallied, Schneider emerged as the leader with 1,016 points.
Robinson followed closely behind, finishing with 1,008 points, while Storkson ended up with 1,003 points.

Nick Schneider was crowned the 2026 Madison International Speedway Dave's White Rock MISfitz champion.
Robinson won the feature race, narrowly beating Storkson by 0.212 seconds.
Dave Edwards, Kyle Wahlgren, and Brandon Liddle completed the Top 5.
What We Learned
Schneider concluded the 11-feature Madison championship season with five wins, eight Top-3 finishes, nine Top-5 placements, and ten Top-10 results.
Robinson secured three victories, while Storkson claimed two.
Collectively, these three drivers won 10 out of the 11 races this season.
Schneider's consistent performance provided him with a crucial advantage, even after his No. 26 car sustained significant damage in the final race.
Initially, he thought he had won by just one point, but the final standings revealed that he had an eight-point lead.
The No. 26 car sustained damage to its front suspension, steering, and bodywork in the crash, necessitating a chassis inspection by the Nick Schneider Racing team before it can race again.
Timing is key as Schneider continues his pursuit of the NASCAR Regional Lefthander Performance 602 Outlaw championship at Dells Raceway Park.
As of August 8, he ranks second among 24 drivers with 724 points, just 15 points behind Tanner Berge.
Over seven races, Schneider has secured one win, six Top-5 finishes, and seven Top-10 finishes.
With four points races remaining, the team must repair the No. 26 car to keep Schneider in contention for a potential second track championship in 2026.

The Falloween event will be the final points race for the division and also marks the end of Nick’s 2026 season.
Currently, Schneider is ranked second among 24 drivers, trailing Tanner Berge by just 15 points.
His immediate focus is on repairing the No. 26 car in time for the August 22 race and contending for the championship.
Additionally, Nick is scheduled to compete with the 602 Craters during Round 2 of the Wisconsin State Championships at Jefferson Speedway on September 18–19.
