Legacy & Horsepower
BUILT, NOT BOUGHT.
Nick Schneider is not just any driver; he’s a dedicated professional with a unique dual life. By day, he drives a semi-truck for a family-owned business in Roscoe, IL. But on weekends during the racing season, he transforms into "The Wild Child," a second-generation racer who proudly upholds a 40-year family Legacy in short-track racing.
Entering his 16th season, Nick's career showcases incredible resilience. After being diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW), which sidelined his desire to serve in the National Guard, he channeled his determination into racing. He quickly earned a reputation for dominating in any vehicle he drove, including a borrowed car he found on Facebook, which led to a remarkable victory at the Bahama Brackets.
In 2025, Nick faced a season filled with challenges that would have stopped most in their tracks. A freak accident severely injured his foot, shattering three toes and putting him out for several months. Yet, Nick never wavered. He diligently rebuilt his strength, focused on his mental game, and returned to the track at the Dells, where he impressively finished in 2nd place against seasoned champions.
Heading into the 2026 season, Nick is ready to take on new challenges as he begins his sophomore year in the NASCAR 602 Outlaw Late Model division. Racing a car he built from the ground up—starting with a bare chassis gifted to him by Hall of Famer Ricky Bilderback—Nick is more prepared than ever to make his mark on the track.
